a museum of nothing much
Pull up a chair, I'll put the kettle on. Yeah, it's a bit dusty, I know...Atchoo!...snif...sorry 'bout that. I'm glad you came tho. Here: would you like the Mr. Wimpy mug or the soft-porn-tastic Take That one? They're cleaner than they look, honest. No milk, no sugar, this is strong tea. You're going to need it.
This is a repository of the dog-eared and trivial, of things that looked like they needed a bit of a hand if they were going to survive much further into the 21st century. I wanted to share the spoils of being an inveterate hoarder, nostalgist and jumble sale crate-digger. After all, the stuff's not doing much good to anyone sitting in a pile in my bedroom. It'll be heavily skewed towards magazines and the like, since they're easy to scan and sociologically interesting*.
I'm horribly disorganised, and am going to apologise for that now cos it'll save time later. If you're the writer/artist/copyright holder of anything I put up here, and you want me to take it down, I will - rather sadly - comply. And comments! are! very! much! encouraged! Even if it's just "LOL80s" or whatever. I'd like it to be more, but I'll take what I can get. :)

*Does that sound dead pretentious? I love these things cos they were never really written for posterity - the aspirations, worries, and daydreams they're made of seem a little more real and honest that way. Or rather, they say as much about their time as Nuts, Reveal and Cosmo Girl say about ours. Which is probably why I wound up reading 70s pop mags instead in the first place.
